Alpine Snowboard Races are on for Saturday January 25th!

19 Jan by Josh Nelson

Hey Grand Canyon Series! We got the green light from Snowbowl to do some alpine racing on Saturday January 25th on the Agassiz trail.

Please pay careful attention to the Event Day Schedule as we will not begin inspection/racing until 10:30 am. Due to the limited terrain and lack of snow, we can only utilize half of the Agassiz trail for the races. Ski Team will be doing Slalom gate training on the closed portion of Agassiz from 7:30 am to 10:00 am. USASA GCS will begin course set for GS at 10:00 am. We will utilize the early morning time to get the start, finish, and timing all set up while Ski Team is training, so I would still like all course crew ready to go at 7:30 am. Please note that we are racing only on Saturday and there will be two GS races and then two SL races. We will also have a dedicated race line for the Sunset chair only. GCX will be available at 7:30 am for athletes with bibs but beginning at 9:00 am all USASA athletes MUST use the Sunset chairlift.

-Venue is located on the Rattlesnake & Agassiz trails accessed via the Sunset Chairlift.
-Check-In will be in Agassiz Lodge beginning at 7:30 am.
-Lift tickets can be purchased at snowbowl.ski
